Negotiation doesn’t have to be competitive or anxiety-provoking.

In this workshop, you’ll learn a new framework that repositions the power dynamics during a negotiation, identify and learn tools for overcoming your fears and barriers when it comes to negotiating, and leave with a checklist of proven tactics and strategies that will help you approach your next negotiation with more confidence and success.

You’ll learn how to determine your own rate, who should make the first offer, what to do if they say, “there’s no budget”, and how hearing “no” can actually be a really good thing.

About your host

Nora Rahimian is a creative consultant and co-founder of #CultureFix, a global collaborative network of artists, activists, and entrepreneurs who use their platforms for social impact. With over 10 years of experience as an entrepreneur in the creative industries, she has negotiated everything from free parking in Downtown LA to multi-year endorsement deals with transnational companies. She has helped her clients double their rates, turn “do it for the exposure” offers into significant cash, and come up with creative compensation alternatives when money wasn’t the most valuable thing. Nora has spoken at universities and conferences around the world, is a UN Alliance of Civilizations Fellow, was named one of iStandard’s Women Who Run The Music Industry, and was recognized as a Trailblazer by VoyageLA.
